About us

Nikolaj Skadborg is the driving force behind Skadborg Dining.

For the last 15 years, Nikolaj has made his mark in some of Denmarks best restaurants, while simultaneously spending 8 years on the Danish National Culinary Team. Furthermore, he has distinguished himself in competitions both domestically and internationally.

In 2018, he ventured out on his own with a burning desire to create exclusive gastronomic experiences in private homes, on par with top restaurants.

Since our humble beginnings in 2018, we have been warmly welcomed, and steadily grown and progressed.

Along the way, we have expanded our premises twice, despite being in one of the hardest-hit industries during the pandemic.

When the chef arrives

Our chef requires access to a regularly equipped kitchen in order to prepare and present the menu. This includes access to:

Our staff handles everything related to food and service. We always bring all kitchen utensils and tools and leave the kitchen in the same condition as when we arrived. So all you need to do is sit at the table and enjoy every moment with your guests.


For dinners of up to 20 people, we provide the plates on which the food is served, while you are responsible for providing glasses and cutlery. If you wish to rent tableware or leave the table setting to us, this is possible by agreement. This way, you’ll be free from all the hassle and get tableware and glasses that perfectly match the menu.

Terms and Conditions

Quality Assurance

If certain ingredients cannot be obtained or do not meet our standards, we reserve the right to make certain changes to the menu. This will be communicated prior to the dinner.

Allergies and Preferences

Allergies and preferences (e.g., vegetarian, lactose intolerance, etc.) should be communicated at least 7 days before the event takes place.


Our chef requires access to a regularly equipped kitchen, which includes a standard stove, oven, refrigeration, freezer, and handwashing facilities, to prepare and present the menu.


Changes to the order can be made up to 7 days before the event. Afterward, the purchase of ingredients and preparation for the event will begin, and changes will only be possible with an additional fee.


In case of cancellation less than 10 days before the event, we reserve the right to withhold 50% of the agreed amount.


A 50% deposit of the total amount is required for all bookings. The booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received. The final invoice will be sent after the event and is due within 8 days.
